Text in scanned PDFs is usually stored as an image. This first version does not run OCR. Run OCR first or upload a PDF with an existing text layer.
The file is uploaded to this site's server and processed temporarily in memory by MarkItDown, without being saved to server disk. Processing data is released when conversion completes or fails. This site does not retain originals or conversion results; you save your own Markdown by copying or downloading it.
The preview uses a restricted Markdown renderer. It does not execute raw HTML or request external images. You can still copy or download the full source and continue in an editor you trust.
